This series of still life photography is a combination of different themes and personal commentary on society. Some themes that I tried to incorporate in subtle ways were ideas on identity, consumerism and self-image. The items I chose to do this series with were human beings rather than traditional objects which lead to links between this series and fashion photography.
The idea of clothing and the self-promotion it brings with it is something that interests me because of the empowerment it receives from branding. Two pieces of clothing could originate from the same factory but differ due to the brand that is slapped onto it. This extends onto buyers of this product who feel empowered by the clothes because of the brands values bleeding onto them.
